BUBS is one of Sweden's most distinctive candy makers, founded in 1981 in the small town of Jönköping. While most Swedish candy brands lean on liquorice or sour gels, BUBS made its name with foam — those soft, marshmallow-textured sweets the Swedes call skum. The Berry Pomegranate Ovals are part of that tradition: a two-tone pink foam candy with a pomegranate top, a wild-berry base, and a glossy finish that comes from a thin carnauba wax glaze.
The texture is the giveaway that these aren't ordinary gummies. There's a gentle resistance when you bite, then a quick collapse into something almost mousse-like — lighter than a standard fruit chew, more substantial than a marshmallow. The flavour leads with tart pomegranate, then settles into a rounder, slightly jammy berry note. Not sour, not aggressively sweet, just unmistakably Scandinavian.
