Vidal Ocean Mix is a sea-themed jelly assortment from Vidal, the family confectioner that has specialised in gummies and jellies since 1963. The chew is soft and smooth with a shiny glazed finish — closer to the dense bite of Swedish Fish than to an airy gummy bear, just gentler. The colours come largely from fruit and vegetable concentrates like pumpkin, blackcurrant and carrot, which is why the sea blues and corals look vivid without tasting artificial. Every shape in the mix is a different little sea creature, so no two handfuls look the same.
