Damel's sugared mandarins are moulded as plump orange segments, rolled in fine sugar and filled with a soft, juicy jelly that tastes of ripe mandarin rather than generic orange. The sugar coating gives a light crunch before the chew, and the citrus flavour is bright without being sour. Damel has made moulded jellies in Spain since 1979, and this is one of the lines Swedish pick-and-mix walls import for a bit of colour between the berries.
