Riesen is a soft chewy caramel coated in dark chocolate. The dark is real — bitter enough to balance the deep brown-sugar caramel underneath, the kind of contrast you get in a sea-salt caramel without the salt. Texture-wise it's in Tootsie Roll territory but firmer, with a glossier dark-chocolate snap.
