S-Märke Sour Apple are the classic Swedish jelly sweets stamped with an embossed 'S' — for 'surt', the Swedish word for sour. A sharp citric coating hits first, then a firm jelly chew with a crisp green-apple flavour from natural apple flavouring. They are sharper-sour than a Sour Patch Kid and noticeably firmer than most US gummies. Made by Candypeople AB in Malmö, and — rare for a sour jelly — the recipe is vegan, with no gelatine.
