Each slice is a kiwi cross-section in jelly form: green flesh, pale seed band, and a sour-sweet sugar crust. Underneath the sugar the chew is soft fruit jelly, with bright kiwi flavour and a subtle citric edge. They sit in the same family as the sugared fruit-slice jellies on US candy counters, but softer and unmistakably kiwi. Vidal has been making jelly sweets in Spain since 1963, and the twin-half slice is one of its signature shapes.
